Blacktip Shark
The Blacktip Shark is a species of requiem shark found in warm coastal waters around the world, particularly in the Atlantic Ocean and Indian Ocean. It is easily recognizable by its distinctive black markings on the tips of its fins. Typically, these sharks grow to about 5 to 6.5 feet in length and are known for their acrobatic behavior, often leaping out of the water.
Blacktip Sharks primarily feed on small fish and invertebrates, using their speed and agility to catch prey. They are social animals, often found in schools, and are considered a popular species for recreational fishing. Despite their abundance, they face threats from overfishing and habitat loss.
