Black-Browed Albatross
The Black-Browed Albatross is a large seabird known for its impressive wingspan, which can reach up to 2.5 meters. It has a distinctive black stripe over its eye, contrasting with its white head and body. This species primarily breeds on sub-Antarctic islands, such as those in the Falkland Islands and South Georgia.
These albatrosses are skilled fliers, often gliding over the ocean for hours without flapping their wings. They feed mainly on fish and squid, using their keen eyesight to spot prey from the air. The Black-Browed Albatross is currently classified as near threatened due to habitat loss and fishing-related threats.
