Black Uhuru

Smith, and later included prominent artists like Michael Rose and Dawn Penn. Their music often addresses themes of love, social justice, and the struggles of the African diaspora.
The band gained international recognition in the 1980s with albums like Black Uhuru's "Red" (1981) and “Chill Out” (1982), which showcased their unique blend of reggae and dancehall. They won a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 1985, solidifying their place in music history.
