Billiards and Snooker
Billiards and snooker are cue sports played on a rectangular table covered with green cloth, known as baize. Both games involve using a cue stick to strike balls, aiming to score points by potting them into pockets located at the table's corners and sides. Billiards typically uses three balls: one white, one red, and one yellow, while snooker uses 21 balls: 15 red balls, 6 colored balls, and a white cue ball.
The rules and scoring systems differ between the two games. In billiards, players score points by potting balls or making specific shots, while in snooker, players score by potting red balls followed by colored balls in a specific sequence. Both games require skill, strategy, and precision, making them popular in various competitive settings.
