Bill Hewlett
Bill Hewlett was an American engineer and businessman, best known as the co-founder of Hewlett-Packard (HP). Born on May 20, 1913, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he played a significant role in the development of electronic test equipment and personal computers. Hewlett graduated from the University of Michigan and later earned a master's degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
Along with his partner David Packard, Hewlett established HP in 1939 in a garage in Palo Alto, California, which is often considered the birthplace of Silicon Valley. Under their leadership, HP became a major player in the technology industry, known for its innovation and quality products. Bill Hewlett passed away on March 20, 2001.
