Bicorne
The bicorne is a type of hat that was popular in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It is characterized by its two points, or "cornes," which extend outward. The bicorne was often worn by military officers and became associated with the Napoleonic era, particularly with Napoleon Bonaparte, who famously wore it during his campaigns.
Typically made from felt or wool, the bicorne was designed to be worn sideways, with the points facing either front or back. It was often adorned with a cockade, a decorative knot of ribbons, and served both practical and ceremonial purposes in military and formal settings.
