Bicentennial Flag
The Bicentennial Flag is a special flag created to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the United States, known as the Bicentennial. It features 13 horizontal stripes representing the original 13 colonies and a blue field with 50 stars, symbolizing the 50 states. The flag was officially adopted in 1976 and is often displayed during national holidays and events.
Designed by John H. McGowan, the Bicentennial Flag was part of a larger celebration that included various activities and commemorations across the country. It serves as a reminder of the nation's history and the values of freedom and unity that the United States stands for.
