Bibracte
Bibracte was an ancient Gallic settlement located on the Mont Beuvray in present-day France. It served as the capital of the Aedui tribe and was an important center for trade and culture during the late Iron Age. The site is known for its well-preserved ruins, including houses, workshops, and fortifications, which provide valuable insights into Gallic life before the Roman conquest.
Today, Bibracte is an archaeological site and a museum that attracts visitors interested in Celtic history. Excavations have revealed numerous artifacts, such as pottery and tools, which help historians understand the social and economic structures of the time.
