Beta Gruis
Beta Gruis is a bright star located in the constellation Grus, which is known as the Crane. It is classified as a red giant star, specifically a type M0 III, and is approximately 107 light-years away from Earth. With an apparent magnitude of about 1.7, it is one of the most luminous stars in its constellation.
This star is notable for its size and temperature, having expanded significantly as it aged. Beta Gruis is around 1,000 times more luminous than the Sun and has a surface temperature of about 3,800 Kelvin. Its distinct reddish hue makes it easily recognizable in the night sky.
