Benjamin Logan
Benjamin Logan was an American pioneer and military leader born in 1743 in Virginia. He is best known for his role in the early settlement of Kentucky and his contributions during the American Revolutionary War. Logan played a significant part in the defense of frontier settlements against Native American attacks.
In 1776, he led a group of settlers to establish Logan's Station, one of the first fortified settlements in Kentucky. He also served as a general in the Kentucky militia and was involved in various military campaigns. Logan's efforts helped shape the early history of the region and its development.
