Benign Neoplasm
A benign neoplasm is a non-cancerous growth of cells that forms a mass or lump in the body. Unlike malignant tumors, benign neoplasms do not invade surrounding tissues or spread to other parts of the body. They can occur in various organs and may vary in size, but they are generally considered less harmful.
Although benign neoplasms are not cancerous, they can still cause health issues depending on their size and location. For example, a benign neoplasm in the brain, such as a meningioma, may press on vital structures, leading to symptoms. Regular monitoring and, in some cases, surgical removal may be necessary.
