Bengali deities
Bengali deities are primarily worshipped in the state of West Bengal, India, and in Bangladesh. The most prominent among them is Durga, a powerful goddess symbolizing strength and victory over evil. She is often depicted riding a lion and is celebrated during the festival of Durga Puja, which attracts millions of devotees.
Other important deities include Kali, known for her fierce and protective nature, and Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.
