Benesse House Museum
The Benesse House Museum is a contemporary art museum located on Naoshima, an island in Japan's Seto Inland Sea. Opened in 1992, it was designed by architect Tadao Ando and integrates art, architecture, and nature. The museum features a collection of works by both Japanese and international artists, emphasizing the relationship between art and the surrounding landscape.
In addition to its exhibitions, the Benesse House Museum offers accommodations, allowing visitors to experience art in a unique setting. The museum is part of the Naoshima Art Project, which aims to promote art and culture on the island through various installations and events.
