Ben Carson
Dr. Ben Carson is an American neurosurgeon, author, and politician. He gained fame for his groundbreaking work in pediatric neurosurgery, particularly for successfully separating conjoined twins. Carson served as the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital for over 30 years and has published several books, including his autobiography, Gifted Hands.
In 2015, Carson entered politics and ran for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 election. After his campaign, he was appointed as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development by President Donald Trump, serving from 2017 to 2021.
