Beme
Beme was a social media app created by Casey Neistat and launched in 2015. It allowed users to share videos by simply recording their experiences without editing or filters. The app aimed to promote authenticity and spontaneity in social media sharing.
In 2016, Beme was acquired by CNN and was later integrated into their news platform. Despite its initial popularity, the app was discontinued in early 2017. The concept behind Beme influenced discussions about the nature of social media and the desire for more genuine content in an increasingly curated online environment.
