Belgian franc
The Belgian franc was the official currency of Belgium from 1832 until 2002. It was subdivided into 100 centimes and was used in various forms, including coins and banknotes. The currency symbol was "BF" or "fr" and was replaced by the euro during the transition to the new currency system.
The Belgian franc played a significant role in the country's economy and was used in international trade. Over the years, it underwent several changes in design and value, reflecting Belgium's economic conditions and historical events. The last coins and banknotes were phased out after the introduction of the euro.
