Bee-eaters
Bee-eaters are colorful birds belonging to the family Meropidae, known for their vibrant plumage and unique feeding habits. They primarily inhabit warm regions of Africa, Europe, and Asia, often found near open habitats like savannas and woodlands. These birds are named for their diet, which mainly consists of bees and other flying insects.
These birds are skilled hunters, catching their prey in mid-air with remarkable agility. Bee-eaters have long, pointed wings and a slender body, making them excellent fliers. They often nest in burrows dug into sandy banks, where they lay their eggs and raise their young in colonies.
