Beatrice Cenci
Beatrice Cenci was a young noblewoman from Rome, born in 1577. She is best known for her tragic life and the circumstances surrounding her death. Beatrice was the daughter of Francesco Cenci, a cruel and abusive father, who mistreated her and her family. In 1598, after enduring years of abuse, she and her stepmother conspired to kill him.
After the murder, Beatrice was arrested and put on trial. Despite her claims of self-defense and the abuse she suffered, she was found guilty. In 1599, she was executed at the age of 22, becoming a symbol of innocence and injustice in Italian history.
