Bear Lodge
Bear Lodge, also known as Crazy Horse Memorial, is a mountain carving located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It is dedicated to the Lakota leader Crazy Horse, who fought against the U.S. government’s encroachment on Native American lands. The monument, still under construction, aims to honor Native American culture and history.
The site features a visitor center that provides educational exhibits about Native American heritage and the ongoing work of the memorial. Once completed, Bear Lodge will be the largest sculpture in the world, showcasing Crazy Horse riding a horse and pointing towards the land he knew.
