The Bavarian Landtag is the state parliament of Bavaria, one of Germany's 16 federal states. It is located in the capital city, Munich. The Landtag is responsible for making laws, overseeing the state government, and representing the interests of Bavarian citizens. Members of the Landtag are elected every five years.
The Landtag consists of 205 representatives, known as Members of the Landtag (MdL). It operates within a parliamentary system, where the largest party typically forms the government. The Landtag also plays a crucial role in budget approval and policy-making for the state, addressing issues such as education, infrastructure, and public safety.
