Battle of Monmouth
The Battle of Monmouth took place on June 28, 1778, during the American Revolutionary War. It was fought between the Continental Army, led by General George Washington, and the British Army, commanded by General Henry Clinton. The battle occurred in Monmouth County, New Jersey, and was one of the largest battles of the war.
