Battle of Chippewa
The Battle of Chippewa was fought on July 5, 1814, during the War of 1812 between the United States and Great Britain. The battle took place near the town of Chippewa, Ontario, and involved American forces led by Brigadier General Jacob Brown and British troops commanded by Major General Phineas Riall. The Americans aimed to gain control of the Niagara frontier.
