Battle of Changban
The Battle of Changban was a significant conflict during the late Eastern Han dynasty in 208 AD. It occurred when the warlord Cao Cao pursued the forces of Liu Bei, who was fleeing to escape capture. The battle took place near the village of Changban, where Liu Bei's troops were outnumbered and faced a swift attack.
Despite being heavily outmatched, Liu Bei's forces managed to delay Cao Cao's advance. Notably, Zhang Fei, one of Liu Bei's sworn brothers, famously defended a narrow pass, allowing Liu Bei and his family to escape. This battle highlighted the strategic challenges faced by warlords during this tumultuous period in Chinese history.
