Basilisks
A Basilisk is a legendary creature often depicted as a serpent or lizard with the ability to kill with its gaze. Originating from European folklore, it is sometimes referred to as the "king of serpents." The Basilisk is said to be born from a rooster's egg hatched by a toad, and its appearance varies across different stories, sometimes resembling a dragon.
In addition to its deadly stare, the Basilisk is also associated with various magical properties. Some tales suggest that it can be defeated by a weasel, which is immune to its lethal gaze. The creature has appeared in literature and popular culture, including the Harry Potter series, where it plays a significant role.
