Baseball Writers Association of America
The Baseball Writers Association of America (BWAA) is an organization of journalists who cover professional baseball. Founded in 1908, it aims to promote the interests of baseball writers and uphold the integrity of the game. Members include writers, broadcasters, and other media professionals who report on Major League Baseball (MLB) and its players.
One of the BWAA's most notable roles is overseeing the voting process for the Baseball Hall of Fame, where eligible players are inducted based on their performance and contributions to the sport. The association also presents annual awards, such as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Rookie of the Year, recognizing outstanding achievements in baseball.
