Base Three
Base Three, also known as ternary, is a numeral system that uses three digits: 0, 1, and 2. Unlike the more common base ten system, which uses ten digits, base three represents numbers using combinations of these three digits. For example, the number ten in base ten is represented as 101 in base three.
In base three, each digit's position represents a power of three, similar to how base ten works with powers of ten. This means that the rightmost digit represents 3^0 (1), the next represents 3^1 (3), and so on. This system is useful in certain computing applications and theoretical mathematics.
