Base Station
A Base Station is a fixed point of communication in a wireless network, primarily used in mobile telecommunications. It connects mobile devices, like smartphones, to the broader network, enabling voice calls, text messages, and internet access. Base stations are equipped with antennas and transmitters to send and receive signals from nearby devices.
Base stations are essential components of cellular networks, such as those using GSM, CDMA, or LTE technologies. They work together to create a coverage area, allowing users to maintain connectivity while moving. Each base station serves a specific geographic area, known as a cell, which is why the network is often referred to as a cellular network.
