Basa Jawa
Basa Jawa, or Javanese, is a language spoken primarily on the island of Java in Indonesia. It is the native language of the Javanese people and has several dialects, reflecting the diverse regions of Java. The language is part of the Austronesian language family and is known for its rich vocabulary and complex honorifics, which indicate social status and respect.
In addition to its spoken form, Basa Jawa has a written tradition using the Javanese script, which is an abugida derived from the Brahmi script.
