Barone Ricasoli
Barone Ricasoli is a historic winery located in the Chianti region of Tuscany, Italy. Founded in 1141, it is one of the oldest wineries in the country and is known for its high-quality wines, particularly its Chianti Classico. The estate spans over 1,200 hectares, with vineyards that benefit from the region's ideal climate and soil conditions.
The winery is also recognized for its contributions to the development of the Chianti wine classification. Barone Bettino Ricasoli, a prominent figure in the 19th century, played a crucial role in defining the blend of grapes used in Chianti wines, which has influenced winemaking practices to this day.
