Barney Glaser
Barney Glaser is an American sociologist best known for co-developing the qualitative research method known as Grounded Theory. Born in 1921, he has made significant contributions to social science, particularly in understanding how theories can emerge from data rather than being imposed on it.
Alongside Anselm Strauss, Glaser introduced this innovative approach in the 1960s, emphasizing the importance of systematic data collection and analysis. Their work has influenced various fields, including sociology, psychology, and nursing, providing researchers with tools to develop theories grounded in real-world observations.
