Bantu people
The Bantu people are a group of over 500 distinct ethnic groups in Africa, primarily found in the southern and central regions of the continent. They share similar languages, known as Bantu languages, which belong to the larger Niger-Congo language family. The Bantu migration, which began around 1000 BCE, spread their cultures, agricultural practices, and ironworking skills across vast areas.
Bantu societies are diverse, with various traditions, customs, and social structures. They are known for their rich oral histories, music, and art. Some well-known Bantu groups include the Zulu, Xhosa, and Shona, each contributing to the cultural tapestry of Africa.
