Banteng
The Banteng is a wild cattle species native to Southeast Asia, particularly found in countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. It is characterized by its sturdy build, short legs, and a distinctive coat that can range from reddish-brown to black. Bantengs are social animals, often seen in herds, and they primarily inhabit grasslands, forests, and savannas.
Bantengs are herbivores, feeding on grasses, leaves, and shrubs. They play a crucial role in their ecosystem by helping to maintain vegetation balance. Unfortunately, their populations are threatened due to habitat loss and hunting, leading to their classification as a vulnerable species by conservation organizations.
