Balderdash is a party game that combines elements of trivia and bluffing. Players take turns reading a word or phrase from a card, and the other players must create a convincing definition or explanation for it. The goal is to trick others into believing your made-up answer is the correct one. After everyone submits their definitions, the original definition is revealed. Players then vote on which definition they think is correct. Points are awarded for guessing the right answer and for fooling others with your fake definition. The game continues until a predetermined number of rounds or points is reached.
