Bald eagle
The bald eagle is a large bird of prey native to North America. It is easily recognized by its white head and tail feathers, contrasting with its dark brown body and wings. The bald eagle has a wingspan of about 6 to 8 feet and can weigh between 3 to 6.3 kg. It primarily feeds on fish but will also hunt small mammals and scavengers.
Bald eagles build large nests, often in tall trees near water sources. They are known for their impressive flying skills, reaching speeds of up to 30 miles per hour when gliding. The species is a symbol of strength and freedom, and it is the national bird of the United States.
