Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant
The Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant is located in the Saratov region of Russia. It consists of four nuclear reactors, which generate electricity for the surrounding areas. The plant began operations in 1985 and is one of the largest nuclear power facilities in the country.
The reactors at Balakovo use VVER technology, a type of pressurized water reactor. This facility plays a significant role in Russia's energy production, contributing to the national grid and helping to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. Safety measures and protocols are in place to ensure the secure operation of the plant.
