Bahraini Constitution
The Bahraini Constitution was adopted in 2002 and serves as the fundamental legal framework for the Kingdom of Bahrain. It outlines the structure of government, the rights of citizens, and the principles of governance, ensuring a balance of power among the executive, legislative, and judicial branches.
The Constitution guarantees various civil liberties, including freedom of expression, assembly, and religion. It also establishes the National Assembly, which consists of an elected Council of Representatives and an appointed Shura Council, promoting a degree of democratic participation in the political process.
