Bagratid Kingdom
The Bagratid Kingdom was a medieval state in the region of modern-day Georgia, existing from the 9th to the 11th centuries. It was founded by the Bagratid dynasty, which united various Georgian principalities under a single rule. The kingdom is known for its cultural and political achievements, including the establishment of the Georgian Orthodox Church.
During its height, the Bagratid Kingdom expanded its territory and influence, becoming a significant power in the Caucasus. The capital was located in Kutaisi, and the kingdom is celebrated for its contributions to Georgian architecture and literature, particularly during the reign of King David IV.
