The B612 Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting Earth from asteroid impacts. Founded in 2002, it focuses on planetary defense by promoting awareness and developing technologies to detect and track near-Earth objects (NEOs). The foundation's name is inspired by the fictional asteroid from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's book, The Little Prince. The foundation collaborates with various space agencies, scientists, and organizations to enhance global efforts in monitoring asteroids. One of its key projects is the Sentinel Mission, which aims to identify and catalog NEOs to assess potential threats to our planet.
