B-Channel
A B-Channel, or Bearer Channel, is a type of communication channel used in digital telecommunications. It is primarily responsible for carrying user data, such as voice or video, over a network. B-Channels are part of the ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) framework, which allows for simultaneous transmission of multiple data types.
In an ISDN setup, each B-Channel typically has a bandwidth of 64 Kbps. Multiple B-Channels can be combined to increase data transmission rates, making them essential for efficient communication in both residential and business environments.
