Bội Theatre
Bội Theatre is a traditional Vietnamese performing art that combines music, dance, and drama. Originating in the 17th century, it is known for its colorful costumes and lively performances, often depicting historical tales and folklore. The theatre is typically performed on a wooden stage, with actors using elaborate gestures and facial expressions to convey emotions.
The performances are accompanied by a live orchestra, featuring traditional instruments like the đàn bầu and trống. Bội Theatre is not only a form of entertainment but also a way to preserve and promote Vietnamese culture and heritage, attracting both local and international audiences.
