Azoren
The Azoren, or Azores, is an archipelago located in the North Atlantic Ocean. It consists of nine volcanic islands, known for their stunning landscapes, lush greenery, and diverse ecosystems. The islands are part of Portugal and are situated about 1,500 kilometers west of the mainland.
Each island has its unique features, such as São Miguel, famous for its hot springs and crater lakes, and Pico, home to the highest mountain in Portugal. The Azores are also recognized for their rich marine life, making them a popular destination for whale watching and diving activities.
