Azeri Language
The Azeri language, also known as Azerbaijani, is a member of the Turkic language family. It is primarily spoken in Azerbaijan and parts of Iran, where it is recognized as a minority language. The language has two main dialects: North Azeri, spoken in Azerbaijan, and South Azeri, spoken in Iran.
Azeri uses the Latin alphabet, which was adopted in 1991, replacing the Cyrillic script used during the Soviet era. The language has a rich literary tradition and is influenced by Persian, Arabic, and Russian due to historical interactions.
