Azadi Stadium
Azadi Stadium is a large multi-purpose sports venue located in Tehran, Iran. Opened in 1971, it has a seating capacity of around 78,000, making it one of the largest stadiums in the world. The stadium is primarily used for football matches and is the home ground for the Iran national football team and the popular club Persepolis FC.
In addition to football, Azadi Stadium hosts various athletic events and concerts. Its name, which means "Freedom Stadium" in Persian, reflects a significant cultural and historical importance in Iran. The stadium has also been a venue for international events, including the 1974 Asian Games.
