Aydinids
The Aydinids were a Turkish principality that emerged in the 14th century in western Anatolia, present-day Turkey. They were known for their maritime activities and played a significant role in trade across the Aegean Sea. The Aydinids established their capital in the city of Aydın and were influential in the region until their decline in the 15th century.
The Aydinids were part of the larger group of Beyliks, which were small principalities that formed after the decline of the Seljuk Empire. They often engaged in conflicts with neighboring states, including the Ottoman Empire, which eventually absorbed them. Their legacy includes contributions to architecture and culture in the region.
