Avro Canada
Avro Canada was a Canadian aircraft manufacturer founded in 1945, known for its innovative designs and contributions to aviation. The company gained prominence for developing the Avro Arrow, a supersonic interceptor aircraft that was considered one of the most advanced of its time. Despite its potential, the Arrow program was controversially canceled in 1959, leading to the company's decline.
After the cancellation, Avro Canada shifted focus to other projects, including the development of the Avro 707 and the Avro CF-100 Canuck. The company eventually ceased operations in the early 1960s, but its legacy continues to influence Canadian aerospace engineering.
