Avatars of Vishnu
The "Avatars of Vishnu" refer to the ten principal incarnations of the Hindu god Vishnu, who is known as the preserver and protector of the universe. These avatars are believed to descend to Earth in times of crisis to restore cosmic order. The ten avatars are collectively known as the Dashavatara and include well-known forms such as Rama and Krishna.
Each avatar represents different aspects of Vishnu's divine purpose and teachings. For example, Matsya is the fish that saved humanity from a great flood, while Varaha is the boar that rescued the Earth from the demon Hiranyaksha. These stories illustrate the importance of dharma, or righteousness, in Hindu belief.
