Austrosaurus
Austrosaurus was a large, long-necked dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, around 110 million years ago. It was a herbivore, meaning it primarily ate plants. Fossils of Austrosaurus have been found in what is now Australia, indicating that it roamed the ancient landscapes of this region.
This dinosaur belonged to a group called sauropods, which are known for their massive size and long tails. Austrosaurus could reach lengths of up to 20 meters (about 65 feet) and had a long neck that allowed it to reach high vegetation. Its unique features help paleontologists understand the diversity of dinosaurs in the Southern Hemisphere.
