Austrian President
The Austrian President is the head of state of Austria, serving primarily a ceremonial role. The president is elected by the public for a term of six years and can be re-elected. Their responsibilities include representing Austria internationally, signing laws, and appointing the Chancellor and other government officials.
The president also has the power to dissolve the National Council, the lower house of the Austrian Parliament, and call for new elections. While the position holds significant symbolic importance, the day-to-day governance of the country is primarily managed by the Chancellor and the cabinet.
