Austrian Army
The Austrian Army is the military of Austria, responsible for defending the country and supporting international peacekeeping missions. It is part of the Austrian Armed Forces, which also includes the Austrian Air Force and the Austrian Navy. The army is organized into various units, including infantry, artillery, and special forces, and is trained to operate in diverse environments.
Established in its current form after the end of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918, the Austrian Army has undergone significant reforms. Today, it focuses on modernizing its capabilities and participating in multinational operations, particularly within the framework of NATO and the European Union.
