Australian Film Commission
The Australian Film Commission (AFC) was established in 1975 to support and promote the Australian film industry. It aimed to enhance the production, distribution, and exhibition of Australian films, ensuring that local stories and talent were showcased. The AFC played a crucial role in funding projects and providing resources to filmmakers.
In 2008, the AFC merged with other organizations to form Screen Australia, which continues the mission of supporting the film and television industry in Australia. Screen Australia focuses on funding, developing talent, and promoting Australian content both domestically and internationally.
